Biography

Koos studied business law at Erasmus University, Rotterdam, and Management and Organisational Studies at the University of Utrecht. He has over twenty years of experience in restructuring.

Koos began his career at ABN AMRO Bank, where one of his positions was Senior Restructurer and Manager for the Department of Financial Restructuring & Recovery. He was responsible for restructuring many companies in difficulties. Koos also worked as a lawyer and trustee in bankruptcy for Ploum Lawyers & Notaries in Rotterdam. There, his responsibilities included winding up bankruptcies, supervising re-starts and advising companies. From 2010, Koos was responsible for establishing and then managing a new Department for special credits at Deutsche Bank, the Netherlands.

The common theme in his career has been advising and assisting companies and institutions facing complex financial and strategic challenges. Koos is a highly committed, dedicated consultant whose sharp analysis of complex problems enables him to quickly get to the core of the issue. He typifies a sober commercial approach, without losing sight of the human dimension.
