Simone Federico Olivetti is of counsel in the Business Reorganization & Restructuring Department as well as in the Corporate & Financial Services Department of the Milan office. He has experience in Corporate and Commercial Law with regards to Restructuring and Turnaround processes.

He gained extensive experience in corporate crises and directly manages several industrial situations that require operational and financial restructuring as well as debt restructuring transactions.

Simone is fluent in Italian, English, Portuguese and French.

Simone has experience in turnaround processes and assists both management teams and family-owned businesses in distressed situations. He has global contacts with investment funds and industrial groups as potential investors, focusing on operating the business towards the achievement  of a long term value.

In the past 15 years Simone has gained a strong knowledge in the Italian SMEs’ environment, with an international business orientation, yet deeply rooted in the Italian experience, and has also acquired an extensive network amongst entrepreneurs, financial institutions and professionals, with a  legal approach going from strategy to final implementation.

Prior to joining Willkie, Simone was a business lawyer in the Italian law firm Macchi di Cellere Gangemi (from 2014 till 2016) and FrauRuffinoVerna (from 2004 till 2013).

Simone has been Assistant Professor in Italian Public Law at the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Torino (2003 – 2004) and in Comparative Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Torino (1999 – 2002).
