EACTP Turnaround Workshop 11th June at TMA 2024 International Symposium & Annual European

For the first time, EACTP will be hosting a hands-on 3-hour Turnaround Workshop as part of the International Symposium and Annual European conference programme.

Kickstart Tuesday morning with an energetic and rebellious problem-solving session, led by seasoned senior CTP practitioners, as they introduce a fresh approach to Turnaround workouts. Join the elite in confronting challenges for an exceptional learning adventure.

The scenarios led by senior CTP practitioners will not only give you a glance of what is like to be involved in understanding and finding the right approach to client’s challenges but it will help you sharpen other skills such identifying and effectively mitigate risks, communicate with clients and colleagues, identify conflicts of interest, form and work as a team when starting and during an engagement.

Case study 1, hosted by Deloitte:

Circular Economy & Sustainability in Turnarounds: comprising of a presentation, case study and group discussion, Alberto Cerini and Piercarlo Smith of Deloitte will lead this session to explore how sustainability is becoming crucial in turnarounds and how companies should therefore be supported to apply ESG principles as key strategic success factors not just to be compliant with regulatory requirements, but also to identify circular economy and energy transition opportunities, making Sustainability a driver for competitive advantage rather than a cost.

Case study 2, hosted by Eight Advisory:

A food and beverage company has fallen into difficulty, with revenue dropping and costs increasing. The management team have not taken action and are unsure on what to do next.  The board is worried that loan covenants will be breached if nothing is changed. You have received a ‘last-minute’ phone call and need to provide a point-of-view on what can be done, and subsequently help turn the business around. How will you approach the problem, and what advice will you give? We will split into groups to rapidly analyse data and provide your point-of-view back to the Board.

Speakers

Alain Le Berre CTP, Alpaha Consulting, Founder (Debt Advisory / Refinancing / M&A / Restructuring / Transformation / Corporate Finance)
Alberto Cerini CTP, Deloitte Financial Advisory, Partner
Piercarlo Smith, Director, Climate and Sustainability, Deloitte Italia
